Frequently Asked Questions

Do you act on a “no win/no fee” basis?
We often take cases on this basis but not always. It depends on the circumstances of your case. We will advise you of the basis on which we are prepared to act once we have assessed your claim.
Are there any time limits to making a claim?
All claims have a time limit of some sort. The time limit varies depending on the type of claim and the individual facts of your accident. We advise getting advice at an early stage as you can never be too early but you can be too late.
Do I need to come into your office?
While we like to see clients face to face, we know it is not always possible. You might be in hospital or stuck at home due to your injuries. You might also be too far from our office. We can either discuss your claim over the phone or arrange to see you in person wherever you are.
How long will it take for my case to be completed?
There is no correct answer to this. It depends on many factors such as the extent of your medical treatment, how long it takes for your condition to stabilise, the evidence we need to gather to progress your case and of course the attitude of the insurance company. It is better to start your case early and there is no need to wait until your injuries settle before contacting us.

What our clients say about us

The advice you provided was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tasmanian Compensation Lawyers to my family and friends. Thank you.

I would like to thank you for all the assistance you have given me during this very difficult period, it is a relief to have it finally finished.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for your assistance and guidance through this legal process. The professionalism and consistency displayed, along with great communication on your part has made this claim promptly sorted. Thank you so much for the time put into this work. It is very appreciated.

My god !  You are amazing !!!  you are a genuinely wonderful person , good karma to you Jess. Thankyou so much, if I can ever help you , you have changed our life and our future.

Thanks you so much, once again, for all your hard work and support with my worker compensation case. I really appreciated your consistent encouragement and reassurance throughout the whole (at times arduous) process. You helped enormously to take the pressure off me so I could focus, importantly, on my rehabilitation.

From the beginning ( a very hesitant phone call from me) to the end ( a very satisfactory settlement) I felt very comfortable with your firm. The one on one relationship was particularly helpful and your level of professionalism was second to none.

I was very impressed by the very high standard of service provided by Tasmanian Compensation Lawyers during the time you acted for me to recover compensation for my injury whilst overseas.

Oh my, that is good news. You have done such a great job. We are so much happier and I am so pleased I can now provide my daughter with so many of the things I couldn’t before.

You are a true gentleman, and an honour to your profession. Thank you for your understanding, good advice and hard work on my behalf.

I would like to offer you my sincere gratitude for your assistance over the past few months. Your professionalism and dedication to the case has been very obvious and most welcome and although I have some issues with the “system” and the way it all unfolds, I have been completely satisfied with the service you provided me.
